EPA Lead Safety for Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Initial Training Course $199.99

Contractors are some of the hardest working people in the United States, and often times may not have the luxury of taking an entire day off the job learning in a classroom to understand how and why to comply with the renovation, repair and painting rule. Many contractors want to learn at their own pace on their own time especially when it involves a complicated topic like EPA's Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule. If you are a busy contractor, or want the most cost effective way to complete you training our online training format may be the best choice.

Contractor Training was approved to deliver the Certified Lead Renovator Course in an online-learning format on March 31, 2010 using the Learning Management System and course materials developed by ContractorHarbor.com. Click here for the EPA approval certificate.

In essence, the online-learning option allows the student to reduce the classroom/hands-on time commitment from 8-hours to 2-hours.

About EPA's E-Learning Option

On September 30, 2009, the EPA provided guidance for Certified Renovator training providers seeking to offer on-line training to allow students to substitute up to six hours of class time for Online learning that meets EPA's standards. EPA published a model E-learning curriculum and set standards for the Learning Management System (LMS) that documents and tracks student participation.

The Online training program provides the following benefits:

  • Provides contractors with the flexibility to learn at their own time and pace.
  • Enables contractors to attend training and still be on the job.
  • Provides scheduling flexibility where contractors can participate in morning, mid day or evening classes to fit their schedule.
  • Reduces the contractor's overall costs for this important training.

Arranging for the 2-hour In-Person Portion of Training:

Please view the calendar to see currently scheduled locations and times for the hands-on training. In many areas, classes will be scheduled on a regular basis. Additional classes will be scheduled when there are a sufficient number of people in a community ready to complete the course. Training locations are constantly being added. For groups who have six or more individuals who need to be trained contact ContractorHarbor.com to request locations and dates.
